I started playing again in early 2010 when an old high school friend was looking for someone to play online, and have found it a nice pastime. I never knew much opening theory, and so I've been trying to pick up a bit. Bought a couple of Jeremy Silman's books, which have made a difference and which I'd recommend.

Playing a lot of vote chess lately just to get some different perspectives.

I'm an amateur bicyclist; I don't race bicycles, but I'm active in the Evanston Bike Club and did a ride across the United States in 2010.
