Aarish_Ch

Hi guys. This is me, Aarish, who just loves to play 4 player chess teams. Also, if you are available and seeing my profile, please DM me to partner up with me in 4 player chess teams. (I'll tell you about 4 player chess teams after you DM me lol)

Now, sit down for a while and read about my journey. Journey in 4 player chess teams.

MY JOURNEY IN 4 PLAYER CHESS TEAMS UNTIL NOW:

It was a normal day. 5 months after I first arrived on this website. I was playing a normal game until this happened. I accidentally clicked on the option labelled "4 Player Chess and Variants". Then I saw the variants there. I quickly clicked on the homepage option (the green pawn on the left corner) and continued my game.

After another 2 months I clicked on "4 Player Chess and Variants" and played the variants there. I even checked out normal 4 player chess, (or 4 pc for short) also called ffa (free for all). I then saw the teams version and thought to play it .

I didn't first see the notation (red is always partnered up with yellow, green is always partnered up with blue) first. I didn't understand who was my partner so I lost a huge number of games.

In variants, they usually give you 1500 rating from the start, like they gave to mine ("they" refers to the creators of variants).

My rating went from 1500 (default rating) to 1200! Then, a guy told me that the colour in front of your colour pieces is your partner. At first I didn't understand and then finally read the rules. I realised that I hadn't been following my partner's arrows.

I started to play on laptop. After checking thrice that there wasn't a way to show arrows on mobile, I thought of playing on laptop.

My parents obviously allowed this and I started to play 2 hours of 4 pc teams everyday.

I found many friends on the way! (If you are new, you can send friend requests to people here online and if they accept the request, you both are friends, technically)

They helped me a lot. Now, if you have continued reading till here, the next part of this journey was my struggle to 2100.

This was it. After 2 months of playing on laptop, I finally reached 1950. After 15 days of constant playing with 1800 rating, I reached my temporary target. Now, my target was 2000! This was my time to shine. (Instead this target turned out to be torture 😭)

After hours of playing,  I learnt new tactics (which I should have known during my 1800 rating arc) and played them. I lost many games but never stopped trying.

After another 15 days, I finally reached 2000. My target, successful. Then, something unexpected happened, so unexpected that.. that I almost gave up... gave up on the road to 2100.

It was a normal day. It was afternoon and I sat down to play (you guessed it!) 4 pc teams. After some research, I realised that we have an option to make games like 1650+, 1750+, 1850+ etc. !

This was my chance to play against high rated players! Except, it turned out to be torture.

Ok. Maybe I am over exaggerating this but you'll feel my pain after you read the next part of my journey.

I played my first game. I didn't understand the tactics my partner was trying to show so I ended up not following the arrows. We lost due to my mistake.

I lost many games like this. My rating was 1901. I had not to reach 1800 or it's pure disrespect.

I started taking this more seriously than just playing for fun. I somehow managed to not hit 1800 and continued going.

After 2 months, I reached 2000 again! (5 months had passed after I first played this variant.)

I reached 2050 rating and felt proud of myself. Except I didn't expect the next part to happen.

My profile is incomplete so check this profile out the next day!
