IM Minh Le won the August 31 Titled Tuesday outright with an undefeated 10/11 score, a repeat of his July 20 performance. Three players finished tied a half-point behind him, with GM Aleksei Priodrozhni taking second on tiebreaks, GM Vitaly Bernadskiy finishing third, and GM Baadur Jobava in fourth.

553 titled players participated in Titled Tuesday this week. The weekly tournament was its typical 11-round Swiss format using a 3+1 time control.

Live broadcast of this week's tournament, hosted by WGM Keti Tsatsalashvili.

Le rode the last perfect score, 7/7, to victory. His seventh win was a clean Slav Defense: Exchange Variation performance against GM Dmitrij Kollars.

Le came two draws from perfection, in round eight against GM Sergei Zhigalko and round 11 against Jobava. Jobava finished in the money despite an early loss to Armenian WGM Anna Sargsyan in round two (below). Then Jobava won all of his other games until the final round, giving him actually the day's longest winning streak (eight games from rounds 3-10).

Not just an attacker, Le also won a nice minor piece endgame in round nine, against GM Aleksandar Indjic, to start pulling away from the pack.

A blast from the past happened in round 10 with GM Gata Kamsky facing off and winning against GM Vassily Ivanchuk. The two famous legends first met over a chessboard all the way back in 1990 and have played more than 30 classical games against each other.
