My brother taught me the game when we were on a family vacation in Greece. I was eight years old and my competitive instinct and passion for the game awakened as soon as he was done explaining how the pieces moved and we started playing. Shortly after that I started playing chess for the school team and one thing lead to the other. 

 I am currently studying to become a middle school teacher while trying to develop my chess skills.
